Choosing the right supplier means more than just finding the lowest price. Consider the following when selecting a thermoformer:

Financial Resources - Does the supplier have sufficient lines of credit to purchase raw materials? You probably did not think of this first or at all, but considering most thermoformers are small companies (some family owned), your project could be delayed or even fail due to your choice of supplier.

Custom Tailors Your Product Delivery - Maryland Thermoform Corporation has set up Just in Time Systems, Supplier owned and managed systems, and other time sensitive delivery schedules based on your supplied forecasts.

Engineering and Design Capabilities - Does the supplier have experienced designers on site and engineers capable of turning your ideas and dreams into real viable products? Most small thermoformers do not.

In House Prototyping - Does the supplier have the capability to make the prototype? Can they make the transition from prototyping to thousands even millions of products? Many thermoformers do not.

Quality Management System - Does the supplier have a formal quality management system in place to control documentation and the production process? This is a key component in delivering consistent products that meet or exceed expectations. Maryland Thermoform Corporation is ISO 9000 compliant December 2002. Maryland Thermoform Corporation’s formal ISO registration is ISO 9001:2000 Registered with Design.

In House CAD/CAM - Does the supplier have an in house Computer Aided Design capability? Do they have an in house machine/mold shop to make designs into precision mechanical tooling?

The Simple Vendor Visit - Here's an easy one. Visit the prospective supplier. First look at the building and the surrounding grounds. If the site is poorly kept, how will they make and keep your product and tooling? Look at the automobiles in the parking lot. Old cars and no cars mean poorly paid employees and this usually means people who do not care about where they work or what they do. Finally request a tour of the facility. How clean is it? How hot or cold is it? Examine the equipment - is it old or new? Is the facility busy? Good manufacturing practices begin with a safe, clean, climate controlled environment and promote happy healthy employees.

At Maryland Thermoform - Successfully completing your project is only the beginning. We work closely with you to build a strong personal relationship through interaction at all levels of our company. From concept to completion Maryland Thermoform Corporation is dedicated to your satisfaction. We believe that your complete satisfaction is our success.
